Print created to illustrate the book 'Cider with Rosie'  by Laurie Lee; the print has been created with a Photoetching plate for the background; the apple core has been printed with screen prints. The whole image has then been hand painted in parts with watercolour. 

This image was partly a remembering of my childhood when my mother was making apple tart and I would be allowed to eat the apple skin peels as she was preparing this gorgeous home made pudding. A similar thing is described by Laurie Lee in his book remembering his own childhood.

Please note that these prints are hand pulled, each print may vary slightly as the background plate and screenprints are re-inked for each prints.
