Alison Vincent

I am a sculptural hot glass artist creating work inspired by the energy and movement of remote ocean environments. My practice is shaped by first-hand experiences of sailing and diving in some of the world’s most extreme and isolated locations, translating these moments into glass. I work directly with molten glass to form pieces that capture motion, tension and balance, each one individually created and impossible to repeat. The process is physically demanding and highly intuitive, requiring precision, timing and control to shape the glass at its most fluid. My work focuses on conveying a moment of natural force, suspended in time.
